Whilst spotting near the Sheraton, i bumped into an Instagram spotter who told me that there was a Ferrari 599 GTO parked up at the Wellseley very recently and that he wanted to also photograph it. So we walked there, and thankfully, it was parked up. This is the first 599 GTO i've seen, and it's a fantastic example i think. Amazing colour, a Greyish Green with matching coloured wheels and a Red stripe. Amazing car!

    Great spot!
How do you make your pictures so beautiful?
Filters? Whats the equipment/software you use?
Hope you want to share, thanks in advance!
    Cheers.

Jeroen.ferrari these would be my answers (im not 100% sure do)
    1. He is editing the "depth" setting in a foto software (IDK which, could be stuff like lightroom or photoshop), which makes the car look nicer and more crisp, but its overexposing the whole picture and the colors get changed a bit (you can see both in his pictures). Plus the reflections are alot more visible than normally.
    2. Hes probaply NOT using a polar filter, as that would remove the reflections.
    3. IMO this is overedited too much, the picture is overexposed, the depth is way too high and colors look off (the bus for example). And even if you edit it so much, use the same settings, the colors between the first and the last picture are different.

Lukask thanks for this. I am thinking of an overall upgrade, get a canon DSLR, (6d) good lens (24-70mm) and some software (if possible free). Some car spotters here in London told me that a fixed 50mm is hard to work with sometimes since you require physical space. Whats your take on that? Would a good 24-70mm deliver a lot worse pictures than a fixed 50? Currently I shoot in RAW to be able to edit afterwards. I like the crispness of the car + reflections in these pictures but would always keep a copy of the original ;).

Hi there. I actually do use a Polarising filter, however my style of editing is mainly about bringing out the reflections of the car, plus making the pictures more vibrant. Yes i use Photoshop, however i do not use the HDR tool on it. I will take your opinions into account, however i like to edit like this, it's my signature style of editing and photography. Some people love it, some don't, it's a personal preference. I can't shoot in RAW when spotting, as i take a lot of photos when out and about, and have a limited amount of card space, however on photoshoots, RAW is a requirement i believe. I always keep the original photos too.

A 24-70mm would be much better than a fixed 50mm. 50mm would give great depth of field at the lowest aperture number, but shooting in London, you will find it tricky to get some angles. The 6D has a full-frame sensor, which makes 24mm very wide (the equivalent to 18mm on APS-C), plus 70mm is a good zoom too. If you can try to get a 24-105mm, an incredible lens.

Thanks for the detailed answer. Really appreciate it. What hardware do you use yourself? I personally like this style of pictures but its like you say, different people like different styles. Thanks!

No worries. I use a Canon EOS 70D currently, with kit 18-55mm IS STM lens.

  15. Không ổn
