Unfortunately after this spot my girlfriend and i got into a car crash involving another driver, not our fault and luckily we had no injuries, the rental mustang was pretty messed up though so now we are driving a camaro convertible for the remainder of the trip. Now back to business, a nice X5 Combo but the strange thing is that this car is wearing German plates at the front and Florida plates on the back! I did some research and what i think happened is that the owner opted for the factory delivery, which means the owner flies to the factory in Europe to pick up the car there, this comes with some perks such as a factory tour and entrance to the museum as well as a VIP treatment. You also get 14 days of free registration and insurance and a German license plate so you can go and explore Europe with your new BMW, afterwards you will drop it off again and it will be shipped to the BMW dealer of your choice, this would take about 6 to 8 weeks. Schmee150 once made a video about the factory delivery of his long time loaner the M5 for anyone who is curious about the process.

@thomcarspotter Ja heel vervelende situatie, tegenpartij was in ieder geval vriendelijk en we hadden gelukkig volledige dekking op de auto dus we kregen zonder gedoe een nieuwe. Maar in het buitenland en zeker in Amerika gaat het natuurlijk allemaal weer net anders, dan ook nog een huurmaatshappij in het spel maar alles ging uiteindelijk soepeltjes.

@jasper1 Your both in good health so that is a huge plus. The second great thing is that you get a second opportunity to drive yet another cool American muscle car. Traffic will get brutal in Miami so watch your self, mate. Let me know what car you like better when the trip is said and done.

@Horse-Power Thanks for the message, you're right. I have driven the camaro for a few days now and it most definitely sounds better (amazing actually) and it feels faster (maybe because of the sound) Interior is less nice though, armrest in front is annoying because there isn't one for the passenger and the phone wont connect, in the mustang we had leather seats with heating and cooling and in the camaro is is plain fabric without either cooling or heating. Another big thing is that opening the rood of the camaro makes you lose about 75% of the boot space whereas with the mustang it wouldn't reduce the boot space at all. So that is a little bit of a problem with our suitcases haha. We will find out tomorrow if they will fit at all or if we will have to put a suitcase on the backseat. We are heading towards the everglades tomorrow to do a airboat ride and after that we are heading towards key west. Any fun recommendations for stuff that we can do in Miami?

@jasper1 Hi Jasper, you most definitely get more bang for the rental experience when traveling in the Ford. The upper performance models of these two cool cars go to the Camaro for pure power. As far as fun in Miami, getting the chance to sit under the sun on South Beach is a great experience. The woman are some of the best looking in the world. I know your girlfriend would not like reading these comments, lol. A jet ski experience is a must. Depending on your budget a romantic dinner at Prime One Twelve is the perfect way to end your Miami experience. You do need to call for a reservation in the evening hours. The cars parked in the valet are always a mixed variety. Check out my spots from this location and you will see what I mean. Whatever you decide just be safe and have a great time, mate.
